I went home for lunch today. After eating some pasta, I sat on the couch to watch Kids in the Hall. The kitty, who’s getting braver by the day, bounded up onto the couch and snuggled up against me. A few moments later, Miles made his appearance and started nosing the cat. The cat didn’t like this and so he popped the dog a few times on the snout. I tried to warn Miles that he should keep his distance. But he just kept wagging his tail and nosing the cat. Finally, Miles stuck his nose into private territory and ended up with a good swipe across the eye. He backed off. Actually, what he did was climb up onto the other side of the couch. So now I have a dog on the right and a cat on the left. To Miles’ credit, he was a very good boy. He sat there patiently and watched the cat. The cat, quite the ferocious little monster, kept badgering Miles. The poor dog was just minding his own business when Muddy would come out of nowhere with a right hook or a left undercut. And these weren’t love pats, either. I could actually hear the thumps resonate in the hollow of Miles’ mouth.
This cat is gonna be one tough son of a bitch when he grows up.
