Yesterday morning, Ari and I were sitting bleary-eyed on the futon. We were trying to wake up. CNN wasn’t helping. Suddenly, Ari got up and said, “I wonder …” before heading toward the front door. I was too sleepy to ask. I heard the door open with a whoooosh, followed by “Ah ha!” from Ari. She closed the door and returned to the living room with a package in her hands. We hardly ever use the front door. We always use the garage to get in and out of the house. The postman had left a package for us between the main door and the glass storm door. There was no telling how long it had been there. Ari handed it to me and said, “You open it.” I knew what it was but I was still excited when I saw the upper left hand corner of the book, the color halftone eye. I was impressed by how heavy it felt in my hands. I opened it and was greeted by a whiff of glorious printed-page. I held it to my nose and inhaled deeper. Ahhhhhhh. Yes. It was finally ours: Taking Your Talent to the Web by JZ.
In completely unrelated news, I’ll be offline for a little over a week. Cities to build, miracles to perform, you know how it goes. See you at the end of the month.
