Love

There are a heck of a lot of people hitting my site looking for that Nostradamus quote. Weird. I still haven’t even confirmed the validity of it, but apparently quite a number of other people received the same email as me. Honestly, I don’t plan to look it up. It’s funny whether or not it’s truly attributable to him.

In other news, another Christmas has come and gone. So has another Hanukkah and another Kwanzaa. Some say the real “millennium” is only days away. There seems to be an underlying tension in the world as though we’re expecting a real catastrophe this time. Like this year we’re all really going to flush our toilets promptly at midnight. Mmm-hmm.

Honestly, I can’t really get on any bandwagon right now. Gore/Bush, who cares. 2000/2001, whatever. Mounds/Almond Joy, fine by me. In all honesty I’m still reeling from how immensely joyful my son was on Christmas morning. His amazement was endless and his gratitude was baffling. For a three-and-a-half year old, he’s surprisingly appreciative. He loves everything that was given to him. And tonight, while we were at the tail end of a 6 hour errand, he said out of the blue, “Mommy, I love you. And Grandma, I love you. And daddy, I love you.”

Life is good. And I love you too, Julien.
