Is it possible that Kevin Smith will ever cease to amaze me? I don’t think so. Not in a million years.
I just saw Dogma this past weekend and am only now coming out of the reflective state it put me in. This is a bold movie and I don’t think anyone else could have handled it quite like Smith. I’m no biblical scholar, but he seems to have done his research. He did an outstanding job of putting his own spin on the whole shabang, particularly with regards to the previously unmentioned apostle, Rufus. I’m not quite sure how I feel about Alanis as God, but hey, at least it wasn’t a speaking role!
And I always suspected that there was something prophetic about Silent Bob …
